Background
I took a quick look on the internet to find any information on this canoe. It was with not much luck. However, I can say that it is green and the dimensions are; Length- 15', Depth- 12", Beam- 32'', and follows the classic Prospector design.
The Project
The original project was to recanvas the hull and repair the starboard gunwale. However, once the gunwales and the canvas were removed, a deeper problem lay beneath. The bow stem and approximately 6" of the inwales have all deteriorated and will need to be replaced along with 2 or 3 cedar planks that make up the hull.
Also, I had to replace the outer starboard gunwale after several failed attempts to repair it.
